The problem of anxiety is often psychological factors that hinder athlete performance, especially when facing pressure in competition. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample in this study was 28 handball athletes selected through purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument was a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that there was a very strong and significant relationship between mental imagery training and athletes anxiety control (r = 0.770; sig = 0.001). In addition, the results of a simple linear regression analysis showed that mental imagery training contributed 59.2% to anxiety control. This finding indicates that the better an athlete is at implementing mental imagery training, the higher their ability to control anxiety. This study contributes to the development of mental training strategies in sports, especially in improving the psychological readiness of handball athletes. Mental imagery training can be used as a practical approach by coaches to manage competitive pressure experienced by athletes before and during matches.
Adi Rahadian, Muthiara Rahmawati, Andi Kurniawan Copyright (c) 2025 JUARA : Jurnal Olahraga https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.umkuningan.ac.id/index.php/juara/article/view/4908 Thu, 31 Jul 2025 13:47:39 +0000 THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING AUDIO VISUAL LEARNING MEDIA ON SPORTS PHYSIOLOGY LEARNING FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION STUDENTS https://jurnal.umkuningan.ac.id/index.php/juara/article/view/4929
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of audio-visual learning media in improving students' understanding of sports physiology in Physical Education programs. The research employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, involving 35 students who were taught using audio-visual learning media. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments, as well as student response questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in students’ scores, with the average score rising from 60.86 in the pretest to 76.29 in the posttest, indicating an improvement of 15.43 points or approximately 25.4%. Additionally, questionnaire results revealed that most students responded positively to the use of audio-visual media, stating that it made the learning process more engaging, interactive, and easier to understand. This suggests that audio-visual learning media is effective in enhancing learning outcomes and student motivation in sports physiology courses. Although this study has limitations due to the absence of a control group, it provides valuable insights into the potential benefits of integrating technology-based media in physical education curricula.
Tedi Purbangkara, Mariana Ditboya Hukubun, Yellia Tomasoa, Siswanto, Aria Kusuma Yuda Ryanto Copyright (c) 2025 JUARA : Jurnal Olahraga https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.umkuningan.ac.id/index.php/juara/article/view/4929 Thu, 31 Jul 2025 13:48:22 +0000 THE INFLUENCE OF NUTRITION EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION LEARNING ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF HEALTHY FOOD KNOWLEDGE AND ITS IMPACT ON ATTITUDES TOWARD CHOOSING HEALTHY FOODS https://jurnal.umkuningan.ac.id/index.php/juara/article/view/4879
Learning is a key process for success; therefore, its implementation must be constructed comprehensively, including the media used in its execution. The need for healthy food, as a primary necessity, must be instilled in students. This process can utilize instructional videos as a medium to provide students with knowledge about healthy food, which may influence their attitudes in choosing healthy food. This study employs a quantitative approach, using a questionnaire as its instrument, consisting of 30 questions distributed to 120 students at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Wuluhan, Jember. Data analysis was conducted using the PLS model with path analysis. The results show that instructional videos have a significant effect, with a p-value of 0.022 < 0.05. However, the knowledge variable, as an intervening variable, does not have a significant effect on the attitude variable, with a p-value of 0.275 > 0.05. Similarly, the instructional video variable does not have a significant direct effect on the attitude variable, with a p-value of 0.984 > 0.05.
Iswahyudi Iswahyudi Copyright (c) 2025 JUARA : Jurnal Olahraga https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.umkuningan.ac.id/index.php/juara/article/view/4879 Thu, 31 Jul 2025 13:51:30 +0000 ARM MUSCLE POWER AND TORSO FLEXIBILITY: KEY DETERMINANTS OF ROLL-KIP PROFICIENCY IN FLOOR EXERCISE https://jurnal.umkuningan.ac.id/index.php/juara/article/view/4857
This study aims to share the contribution of arm muscle strength and trunk flexibility to roll-kip performance in floor gymnastics in students of the Sports Coaching Education Study Program, Cenderawasih University. The background of the study was based on significant variations in roll-kip performance among students, allegedly due to reduced arm muscle strength and trunk flexibility. The research method used a quantitative correlational approach with a sample of 40 students selected purposively. Data were collected through push-up tests (arm muscle strength), trunk lift extension tests (torso flexibility), and roll-kip performance assessments by instructors. Data analysis used SPSS for correlation and multiple regression tests. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between arm muscle strength (r = 0.800; p < 0.05) and trunk flexibility (r = 0.796; p < 0.05) with roll-kip performance. The combined contribution of both variables was 73%, with trunk flexibility having a more dominant influence (1.663) than arm muscle strength (0.401). The conclusion of the study emphasizes the importance of training both aspects in a balanced manner in a floor gymnastics training program to improve performance in performing transition movements such as roll-kip.
muhammad fitrah mubarak fitrah Copyright (c) 2025 JUARA : Jurnal Olahraga https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.umkuningan.ac.id/index.php/juara/article/view/4857 Thu, 31 Jul 2025 13:54:35 +0000 The Development THE DEVELOPMENT OF VIDEO SELF-ASSESSMENT FOR SOCIAL SKILLS IN THE TRADITIONAL GAME GOBAK SODOR IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 3 OF MALANG https://jurnal.umkuningan.ac.id/index.php/juara/article/view/4840
Social skills taught by teachers to students at school are very important to be applied as early learning before plunging into social life in the community and work later.
