Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of applying the direct instruction model to improve Passing skills in volleyball in fifth grade students of SDN 1 Salareuma. This study uses experimental research methods and this type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study were 17 fifth grade students at SDN 1 Salareuma. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling by giving treatment to 17 fifth grade students at SDN 1 Salareuma. The design of this study used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The test instrument that will be used in this study is a test of accuracy when passing on French Cooper volleyball. The data analysis technique of this study will test the prerequisites and test hypotheses using SPSS version 25. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Direct Instruction model to improving the passing ability of volleyball games in fifth grade students of SDN 1 Salareuma has an effect with a significance value of 2 tailed 0.000 < 0.05 through the paired sample T test. With these results, it shows that there is a significant difference between the results of the passing ability test before and after the application of the Direct Instruction model learning to the fifth grade students of SDN 1 Salareuma.
