School is one of the formal education places that has a mission to educate the nation's life, therefore
preparing schools with all educational facilities and infrastructure such as improving teacher quality,
improving curriculum, improving learning facilities and improving other supporting facilities in schools,
efforts to improve other facilities in learning, one of which is improving library services and utilizing
supporting facilities and infrastructure for school learning is the most basic thing in learning process
activities. In Law Number 43 of 2007 concerning libraries in article 13 paragraph 3, it is necessary to
develop other collections that support the implementation of the education curriculum. In writing this
scientific paper, the research method that will be applied is the descriptive research method. The
descriptive method can be interpreted as a problem-solving procedure that is investigated by describing
the state of the subject or object in the study can be people, institutions, communities and others which
are currently based on facts that appear or are. According to Nazir (1988: 63), in the Research Methods
Book, the descriptive method is a method in examining the status of a group of people, an object, a set
of conditions, a system of thought or a class of events at the present time. The object of the research is
in Gereba State Elementary School, Kramatmulya District. From the results of the study, it shows that
thes collection of non-book materials has not been utilized optimally.
