This study aims to analyze the effect of the work environment on the job satisfaction of employees at the
Cigugur Subdistrict Office. The importance of this study is based on the crucial role of government
employees in providing public services, whose performance is greatly influenced by their level of job
satisfaction. The work environment, both physical (facilities) and non-physical (interpersonal
relationships), is considered one of the main factors that can shape employees' positive perceptions and
attitudes towards their work. The results of the study show that the work environment has a significant
and positive influence on employee job satisfaction. Non-physical factors such as harmonious
relationships between employees and support from superiors have been proven to have the most
dominant impact on increasing job satisfaction. Meanwhile, adequate physical facilities also play a role,
although not assignificant as non-physical factors. The conclusion of this study is that a conducive work
environment is key to increasing employee job satisfaction, which will ultimately have a positive impact
on the quality of public services.
